I've got loads of base garments.. I'm currently making the transition from living area to craft room with all my stuff so once my shiney NEEEWWWW craft room is up and running I'll have the time to concentrate on scruffy goodness!!! Cheesy

I can't wait to get sewing on my gibbous dress again, I just had to do a super quick move and everything is in boxes Tongue Hopefully next week I'll be unpacked and ready to finish my dress

I would love to join in this sew-along. I'm hoping to get a quilt foot because it makes gibbous so much easier, yes?
I've never made anything gibbous and I hope I can find time b/c I'm really excited about this style!

I hope it's okay if I join in. I've been a little obsessed with Gibbous since last year's swap (I didn't participate, but I totally stalked the gallery).  Smiley I love seeing what everyone is making!

I made a wide, obi-style belt with scraps from my stash. My stitching got a little lazy.  Undecided

Any comments/criticisms would be welcome.  Smiley

ooo me loves it! I would love to see it on a human though. I've always liked lace over other fabrics. Was it easy? I'm thinking a waist belt might be a good place to start my gibous-making hobby.

Inez that is fab! I'd love to see it over a plain black tank or short or long sleeved tee. I'd love to rock it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll have to get my DH to take pictures of me in it. It went together relatively quickly (two afternoons)...I had the scraps set aside for a few weeks before I started, so I already had some ideas on how I wanted it to look. I had to improvise the closure because I forgot to take into account how much the fabric shrinks when you add all the layers and stitching. I also like to add some light interfacing to the fabric to help it keep its shape. The destructed look comes mostly from sewing my machine's foot to the fabric, then freeing it with scissors (over and over and over... Cheesy), and stitching through one of the metal eyelets that I then cut out because it had a jagged edge.
