I'm trying to find resin dye and molds, but all the online stores that carries them are from the U.S and resin and resin dyes are considers hazardous chemical, it can't be exported.  I live in Vancouver and I already checked Loomis and Michaels.  Michaels only carry 1 kind of resin mold but I don't want that one.  Anyone know where else I can get dyes and molds?  Do they have it in Michaels in the U.S?   Huh

Thanks,
Connie

Here's a place in Victoria that, I believe, will have what you need (and give you more ideas for Vancouver) as far as the resins etc. I'm not sure what they have for molds, as the person I know who uses this stuff makes his own molds.

this is a pretty old thread, but i'll answer anyway

you can cast resin (i'm guessing you mean acrylic or hmm, craft resin) into silicone moulds, so try looking for silicone moulds instead of 'resin moulds'

this also means silicone ice cube trays would work for small shapes. if you're worried you can add a bit of mould release, but silicone can withstand the heat of curing resin

i know this is a super old thread, but i'll post incase anyone else is curious!

you can buy resins from opus (www.opusframing.com) and there's 3 in vancouver, as well as in langley, kelowna and victoria. resin dyes are apparently being looked into as a possible new product. there are also mold making kits, and a fun non-toxic mold making product you can use for resins, as well as chocolates, candles, ice etc. it's a pretty awesome product.

hope that helps someone!
