I actually opened up Craftster with the intention of finding a good peanut butter cup recipe... and here you are!  Serendipity!  It's brilliant!

I'm so excited to try this.  Can you find almond bark in the grocery store, or do I need to go to a specialty store?

I get my almond bark at Albertson's (local grocery store)  I've seen it at Wal-Mart and Target too.  It's usually in the cake mix aisle or near the chocolate chips.  It is a bit expensive but so totally worth it.  I got mine on clearance for $1 for 24 ounces and I cleaned them out of it.  A lot of times they put it on clearance after Christmas (for whatever reason).  I suggest stocking up when it's cheap

despite the name chocolate almond bark tastes great. It doesn't have a nutty flavor but a smooth rich milk chocolate flavor that melts in your mouth

We made these last night!  And wowza, they nearly knocked my socks off.  Unbelievably rich!!  I'm bringing a bunch into work today with the warning that each cup packs more calories than an MRE....

OHHHHH-  I get requests for peanutbutter balls every Christmas and those "Reeses" cups look amazing!!  The only thing I might change is the almond bark - since its "artificial flavor" I think I'd choose a melted hershey bar - maybe with a bit of parafin added in to keep it from being too melty. (Haha - klboo - I'm kind of a chocolate snob too!)  Wink
Now I will be drooling over peanutbutter cups for the rest of the day!
