A Collection of Cozy Knitted Goodies
«
on:

I made these knitted treats for Troublet in the Geezer swap. She's received so I can share now!
A cowl made with Malabrigo (so yummy) and this pattern:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/water-diamonds-scarf-and-cowl
. It was really fun to knit! I made the larger size cowl and it only required 1 skein.
Here is a shot while it was blocking...
A pair of wrist warmers made with Frogtree merino worsted. I've never used this brand before but I really liked it and it was pretty inexpensive. I used a pattern from the book,
Last Minuted Knitted Gifts
.
Cabled footies made with Cascade Superwash and a pattern from the book,
One Skein
. Fast and fun pattern - I actually managed to finish both socks!
Leg warmers made with...shoot I can't remember what kind of yarn I used for these but I do remember the pattern:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/les-cables-de-faux
. I wasn't totally thrilled with how the stitch pattern came out but it was still a fun project. I definitely want to make myself a pair of leg warmers now.
And lastly, to keep her tea cup nice and cozy, I made this mug cozy using Cascade 220 and this awesome craftster pattern:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=194286.msg2050779#msg2050779
Phew! That's it
. Thank you so much for looking!

Love it all! The cowl and arm-warmers and definitely my favourites though. I'm a sucker for knitted accessories, I think mainly because since I'm still a wee padawan at it, everything (even when you say it was easy XD) looks super difficult/amazing to me.
Plus...blue, who doesn't love blue?
Troublet was very lucky to have you as a partner!

LimeRiot you have been busy!! I LOVE the cowl! What a great pattern, I'll have to add it to my queue...plus the shade of Malabrigo is quite lovely as well!
Are those wrist warmers actually cabled? Or is it a faux cable using a staggered ribbing kind of pattern? Either way, the effect is really cool! I love the way the pattern wraps around the wrists! (Are those your hands modeling?? Dude, that is the quite the rock you got there, lol)

I definitely recommend the cowl pattern - it's fast and fun and the pattern includes a scarf version as well. I'm going to make myself one since I have an extra skein of Malabrigo
.
The wrist warmers are just a staggered rib pattern. I've probably made 30 pairs of these over the years - my friends always request them and they are really fast to make - especially since there is just a thumb opening (instead of a thumb half-mitten).
Yep - those are my hands modeling. I have a marvelous and tasteful Fiance who scored an incredible vintage ring for me
.

That cowl is GORGEOUS. I want one now, even though I live in Florida and would only get to wear it for about 10 minutes a year.

Thanks! I will have to give it a whirl sometime (both cowl and wrist warmers). Give your tasteful fiance a pat on the back too for scoring the vintage ring!
