SO...my second poppet was made for the Poppet/Ami swap, and I got lucky enough to get paired up with someone who wanted a poppet on the gothic side, and mentioned she liked Alice in Wonderland...so, of course I knew right away what I had to make.  Without further ado...The Red Queen

She got a full mod podge mani pedi!!

Her crown was sculpted out of polymer clay.

Her head was so big and bulbous that her little neck is working to hold it up.  So much fun to make!!!

Thanks for looking, and C&C very welcome!!!

She is so gorgeous! I cannot believe that she is only your second poppet!
I adore the way that her eyes turned out... How exactly did you do that?

Thank you all SO much!!!  Especially coming from such AWESOME doll makers!!!

I figured, instead of doing the blue eye shadow, I would just use blue safety eyes.  Then, I broke out my prisma color markers, and went to town using grays and reds.  Then I used glitter mod podge over the eyelids.

I love her! She is amazing...great job! I also love her dress and the fabrics you used. Did u wing it or use a pattern for it?

Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!

I used the doll candy dress pattern, pretty much for a reference, because the pattern wasn't exactly what I had in my head for her.  LOTS of changes, and winged almost all of it...my background is in costuming, so that is what I love so much about poppets!!!

I love mod podge...put enough layers of that stuff on, and you've got yourself some nails!!!
