I want so much more than they've got planned

Since no one else has started it yet, I'll kick off this Friday with my first decent and even yarn on my new wheel. It's undyed BFL.

This is my first two wheel-spun singles plied on the wheel. It's the same undyed BFL and brown mystery mill ends.

This one's my secondish (I think) yarn, also mystery mill ends. I tried to steam it over a pot of boiling water, but I accidentally scorched it and now it smells like burnt hair (ew!) and has gross little crispy brown fibers all over it.

This one's also BFL. I dyed one batch orange kool-aid, the other one fruit punch kool-aid, and hand-carded them together. It's my first attempt at long draw, and it was a pain in the butt, but I like how it looks. My mom calls it September Sunrise.

And this is my brand-new Kiwi! Love her so much <3

That's all I got this week. I'm excited to see what other people have made; I've got bunches of fiber sitting around and I sure could use some inspiration. Wink

The yarns all look so squishy! I love the vivid color of the orange yarn.

This week I finally got over my irrational fear of plying Smiley

And lovely children decided to leave me a nice present...

Wow all those yarns look great!

KRJ, grats on the new wheel!

Zombie queen,  I too recently got back on the plying road too.

So I don't have any finished yarns to offer up this week.  I did finish the BFL I was working on, it's the white in the picture, I just don't know what I want to ply it with.
The purple is a WIP, I have close to 6 oz of it, it's going to take me awhile lol.

Here's the purple on the spindle.  It's Ashland Bay, if you ever get a chance to work with this companies fibers, go for it, it's dreamy.  This is my third go around with thier fibers.

Ooh, zombie, I love the colors of the first yarn. They're so subtle and cute. That yarnghetti looks tasty. Hope the kids gave you some sauce to go with Wink

Cheyenne, I'm loving the colors in that roving, and they spun up really nicely. ^_^

SKRJ - I love the wheel! So excited for you. I'm partial to undyed yarns so I love the first one. They really make awesome hats. Very hippie looking when you're done with them. The orange is pretty awesome too. I don't know how to not scorch your yarn with steam. I always dunk mine on a PVC niddy noddy.

chey - I love the purple. Is that pink in there too or just a lighter shade of purple?

zombiequeen - Great job on the plying! I still must learn. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I weep for your blue yarn. Maybe it won't be too hard to untangle...I know there are ladies who LOVE to untangle yarn here and on Ravelry. If you don't wanna mess with it.

Believe it or not it's red.  It's blended in such a way that it's spinning really pretty with peeks of red and blue.

KRJ -- I really like that brown and white 2-ply, and the wheel looks great!!

Zombie-queen -- I hope your kids didn't get into too much trouble!  Is it tied off in a skein?  If so, you might be able to untangle it pretty well.  I hope you get it untangled b/c it looks really pretty!!

Cheyenneswthrt07 -- thanks for the heads up on good fiber!  That blue looks like so much fun to spin -- so silky!

I have yarns this week!

And check out these dropspindles I made!  They're lightweight and just *perfect* for laceweight yarn.

SpecialKRJ: I never set my twist with steam; instead, I dunk my yarns in lukewarm water and let them air-dry on a hanger (no stretching).
