My DD, pain in the tushy that she is, begged me for a Slytherin Scarf for the Harry Potter opening ages ago. It was finished in time, but I'm a lazy poster Grin

I don't know about you, but I get bored with stockinette or garter stitch after awhile, so I added a cable.

C&C welcome!

That is really pretty.  I love the cables you added to it.  Turns a plain scarf into a gorgeous one!  Your DD is so lucky!

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Lovely job. Would you mind trying to explain how you did the cables? I want cables that are spread wide apart like that but I'm not quite sure how to go about designing the pattern for them and I haven't found any tutorials that explain how to do that. They keep showing how to knit close crossing cables.
