My package from kaz814 arrived yesterday! I have to get to the post office before they close to send hers off(lol, last minute I know!). I've taken loads of great pics, so check back in a few hours and be prepared to wist!!

Edit: I'm back, and picture time!!

kaz is awesome! I love felt ornaments, but cannot do a thing with felt! She made me these 2 that have pictures and lyrics from my favorite Christmas movie of all time, White Christmas
Front

Back

The for my Mickey Mouse obsessed daughter, the cutest ornament with her name on it! This is so sweet, I'm putting it away for Christmas!

For my mom's ever growing snowman collection, a cute snowman for her stocking!

Oh, and everything came wrapped in these reusable Christmas wrapping bags she made for me! I love this idea, these are perfect!

Also, because we found out that our tastes in books are pretty much mirrored, we decided to swap a paperbook, and this is the one she sent me, Kitty and the Midnight Hour. Lol, when I should have been taking a nap yesterday, I was reading this! Already to page 40, great choice for me!

And finally, my favorite part of the package! My own wreath! It is absolutely beautiful!

And see all these wreath bits? More flowers, buttons, pins, and ribbons?

Thats because everything is interchangeabe for the seasons! I am in love with this!

I never would have thought of making a wreath like this, it is way too awesome for words! What is the material you have wrapped around it?

kaz814!! You rock so hard, you are the rocking queen!!! Thank you so much for such an awesome Christmas in July package!!

Yay, pixieval!  I'm so glad you like everything.  Woot!

I had a Mickey hat when I was little with my name embroidered on it like that (though I can't find any examples online), so I figured Lily-Anne could use one, too!  And I'm so psyched you like the book!  It's a great series.

Fun Fact: Gen. Waverley is only a two star general, but ... two stars would have looked funny on the green felt, so he got a promotion. (At least I think there are three star generals?)

The wreath is my favorite part, too!  I'm going to make some for Christmas as gifts, I think, as they're easy.  I love the colors of the flowers you put on (and that maroonish/magentaish button is one of my FAVES!)  The wreath is wrapped in twill ribbon/tape that I dyed with tea.  Smiley  If you wanted to change it out, it's only glued on at the beginning and the end, though I think the creamish tan should match most everything.

You are right, there are 1, 2, 3, and 4 star Generals!
I had one of those Mickey hats too, and that is exactly what this reminds me of. It made me feel the happy mommy moments when I saw it!
And I am thinking of stealing the wreath idea for some Christmas presents as well! I am god awful at felt though, so we'll see! lol!

Oh, right.  I think I need to see the movie again, if I'm forgetting such things! Wink  And yay happy mommy moments!

Hee!  Please do steal the idea.  I got a chipboard flower on sale at Joann's and traced it.  I do not trust my scissor skills to freehand anything.  Cheesy  There's really no talent for felt needed!

Oh - and all that felt is ecofelt - made from recycled plastic bottles. Cheesy
