I'm thinking about adding this on as a third swap since all of them are easy and require a minimal amount of crafting, but I'm going to have to go through my stash and see what I can let go of/make sure I have enough to meet the requirement. I have a lot of beads, but I like to do intricate work, so many of them are smaller than 5mm.

They don't have to actually be a specific size beads.  That's just our "rough guideline".  If you want to swap larger or smaller beads, you just need to work it out with your partners, so no one feels slighted.

Thanks for the kind thoughts ladies.  We made it to Jim's parents house alright, and now we're just all kind of waiting around until the actual funeral tomorrow.  Since there isn't much I can be doing, I thought I'd check in here.  We're now up to 10 swappers.  If we hit 20, I'll close sign-ups early.  Tell your friends about the joy that is Bead Soup Swapping!

I'd love to join, too; this would be my first swap ever.
I have to give away more than enough larger beads as I prefer to work with seed beads, too. But I could send seed beads, too! I checked my measuring cups, 1 cup doesn't seem to be that much... I think I'll go and see what I want to part with!

funny one cup doesn't seem like that much when you are sharing but when you get a whole cup of beads in the mail it seems like a glorious amount

Other than swap items, Beads are my favorite thing to receive in the mail. I can order the smallest amount of charms, beads or findings and I'm so excited to receive them. One cup will be fun to see what I will try and include in there.

Organizer Note:
Just as an FYI ladies, only 1 person has expressed interest in actually RECEIVING seed beads.  (And NO ONE has listed wanting acrylic/plastic.) 

I have noticed in the 4 rounds of this swap that I have hosted, that many people list that they have seed beads and acrylic/plastic they want "to get rid of", but no one in the swap wants them.  Please remember that this swap is a SWAP for things your partners will like to receive.  This is not a dumping ground. 

This doesn't mean that you have to mail out your very best and most expensive Swarovski crystal, but it is certainly not a way to just dump cheap beads on your partner, and expect to receive expensive stone and crystal in return.  As someone else pointed out, it's amazing how fast you can fill a cup of beads without losing your whole stash.  It would be amazing if we could all turn out the lousy stuff in our bead boxes and get sent beautiful supplies in exchange, but that's just not how it works.

Now, don't jump to conclusions.  I'm not scolding anyone or anything.  This is just a general "Note" from your organizer. 

Also, a good thing for all of you to do, would be to add some beads, charms, etc, to your wists to help your partners get a clearer idea of your tastes.  It's not a requirement for the swap, but I promise you'll be happier if you do.
