Close up of the star artwork! Funny thing is (and I don't know how she knew) but I actually want a tattoo VERY similar to this on my foot!!

I received both my envelopes yesterday.

My photo is horrible and I apologize for that.  The black piece of fabric has the best texture ever and has an embossed design.  It's going in my " pieces for that awesome crazy quilt I'll make some day" box.

The drawn sugar skull and the circle design are just gorgeous in real life.  I actually intend to frame the sugar skull as a gift for a dear friend of mine.

My favorite thing is the postcard bookmark.   I adore vintage bookmarks and have never seen one used in such a simple yet clever way.

I was a little shocked by this one.  I certainly didn't expect anything quite this elaborate in a 44 cent swap.  



See what I mean?  As awesome as this pouch looks here,  my pic doesn't begin to capture how truly beautiful it is.  And it's made perfectly.  I enjoyed it for the entire 10 minutes I owned it before my 21 year old saw it and swooned.  Hey, that's part of being a Mom, right?  

Thank you both so much.  This was my first 44 cent swap and I feel that I may have let you both down a bit.  I hope not.  I love everything you both sent so much.


Edit:  I just realized that I haven't looked through this gallery.  I simply can't get over how many amazing things are posted here.  The butterfly, the peace sign, the paper cuttings... well, everything... it's all wonderful.  What a fun swap this has been.

I just got my envelope from rubies-pearls today! It is soooo cute!!



She sent buttons, fabric yo yos, stickers, and other fun embellishments...bu t the coolest thing is the felt needlebook!! It is adorable and I really needed one! What a good idea for a small crafty item! The envelope she sent the goodies in was also neat, but I accidently ripped it when opening - oops! It was red with pretty blue gingham pattern. Thanks so much!! I love everything!

Wow Every ones envelopes are so cool. I am happy that gamemom wasn't disappointed that I only put one thing in her envelope. I have tons of things I could have just stuffed in but  I saw she has sugar skull stuff on her wistlist. and since I had the Fabric and the beads I just thought a wristlet would be cool. And I get stuff stolen by my not so smalls too. My daughter stalks my chair when a package comes in waiting for me to open it so she can pounce.

I cannot take credit for the bookmark postcard ^_^ One of my etsy friends made me a bunch and when I saw you liked postcards I had to share.
That was my first time drawing a sugar skull so I'm glad you liked it! And the flower is a vintage iron on from one of my grandmothers books.

I received from Puzzler...it turns out she is one of those people that fit a pound of stuff in a 44 cent envelope.  I absolutely feel spoiled!  I received all sorts of stickers, ribbons, earrings, dot games, bookmark and old postcards.  I have to say the old post cards are my favorite!
