If stuck on an island I was going to say The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide but will actually go with Autobiography of a Yogi because if that was the only thing I had to read then maybe I would actually get through it

Good call! Wow, the idea of actually reading Don Quixote is a good one ... I've tried numerous times, and I just can't manage to slog past the first ten chapters or so.

Oh my goodness, you just gave me a flashback...
we had to read it IN SPANISH in one of my college courses....now that was tough going!

I think I've only seen the play...I now have "Dulcinea" stuck in my head. Tongue

I watched a very neat tutorial this morning on YouTube about magnetic bookmarks. It was very informative and a little elaborate but very customizable, I felt.
Holy cow, that was an elaborate bookmark indeed! And I reallly want a 'Scor-pal' now!!
I must now be a nerd though and ask, wouldn't that warp your book pages since it would be so thick? I fear books may be a bit too holy for me.

I would so love to be paid to read! The tropical island is like icing on the cake!

I'm a lit teacher so Jane seems light compared to other novels i have read

I like to mix historical/classic with modern

I'm a Laurell K Hamilton fan and Janet Evanovich and some Nora Roberts but I love her alias: JD Robb

Do the Scifi/fantasy: Stephen R Donaldson, Tolkien, Anne McCathry, etc.

Basically anything! Don't do biographies and such but occassionally

Oh yes I'm a bibliophile to the max!

Oooh I so want a Stephanie Plum bookmark!! So many amusing quotes to use. I wonder if I put it on my questionnaire... it feels like so long ago I sent it in  Wink

I'm crossing my fingers that the tentacle swap I'm in finishes soon so I can join this one! I'm a bookmark addict and this swap is just perfect! Seeing the bookmarks from the previous swap galleries are inspiring and envy-making  Cheesy

WOW !! I am so excited about how many folks are gathering for this swap. Smiley The gallery is going to be swoon worthy. Smiley

OK since it is a bookmark swap I am throwing the cliche question out there....

Stuck on an island..blah blah blah...One book and one kind of bookmark? ummm ummm

Wow that's a hard one. Can I pick 3books and a bookmark?Huh? I need a bible of course, love story, and a mystery (I guess the love story could be a mystery). The bookmark would have to be pink, & glittery with a butterfly on it. Maybe the glitter will reflect off the sun's UV rays and I could do some morris code type signal for help. LOL!!!

If you are stuck on a desert island with a book - why would you want to get off?   Cheesy

LMBO!!! My best friend said the same exact thing. She says its her ultimate fantasy just as long as she had a handsome man catching fish, picking fruit, preparing in it all and serving it to her as she read. LOL!!!

hmm if i was on a island with only one book id have to pick one of Tolkien's books since ive never read any of his books and all of my friends tell me they are good. as for the bookmark id probably just use one of my finger knit ones.
