I cooked up my own bath puff pattern to replace all those stinky nylon ones!  They are great for giving as gifts and keeping in your guest bathroom.  It's pretty simple to make - don't let it scare you!

Here's the pattern:

Oh, and here's the washcloth pattern:  http://handmadebyannabelle.blogspot.com/2010/04/crochet-pattern-not-your-grandmas.html

I keep trying out these crocheted balls, but they never lather up correctly when used. How do these work out in the shower?

I just started crocheting but I'm catching on pretty quick and I would love to try these, they don't seem too hard either, as long as I am reading your directions properly! lol I have a habit of not reading them right the first time around!  Undecided

Hi !!

I had the same problem with the bath puffs not lathering up well and decided to try the cotton/acrylic blend.  It works well, and the 100% cotton works well, but you really need to keep the 100% cotton ones small -- otherwise they are too heavy.

Hmm... I used both the 100% and the cotton/acrylic blends, worsted weight, only three rows and didn't work out... wonder what I'm doing wrong... are you using a smaller weight yarn with these? Maybe I should try with some sock yarn or something?

Oh- and I do really much like the colors you used! It reminds me of sherbert ^_^ Yummy!
