OK, this project needs a little back history. My parents have always been really big into crafts and back in the early 90's my dad came up with the idea of making a super realistic gingerbread house out of wood. Well they did a whole bunch of them and everyone who received them loves them even to this day. Well any who, about a year ago I asked my dad if he would make one for me to decorate and he did and this is the result. I think it's fabulous!

I made every piece of candy by hand from either polymer clay or wood. The snow is the kind of stuff the use for miniature models. It's gooey and thick and very difficult to work with.

I used little circular mirrors for the path way and I found plastic ice cubes to help decorate.

I hope ya'll enjoyed!

Cute! It's nice to look at something that reminds me of the cold on a hot day like today! Now if you can make something that reminds me of the heat come December I'll be all set!  Wink

Can I ask what your dad made the house out of? I don't recognize the wood. It looks really, really cool! Talk about xmas in July!
