i found these amazing boots in a thrift store for €3, only i couldn't get them to close over my calves - a regular problem i come across, does anyone else find that?! anyway, i couldn't bear to let their platformy goodness go so i bought and little cutting, binding and eyelet-ing later, i have boots that corset at the back!  Grin
i'm MC'ing two burlesque shows this weekend - i have footwear sorted anyway!

i can't decide between rat-tail lacing or ribbon!

This is a great idea!  I have monstrous calves and never ever wear boots because they just won't fit my legs.  I will be trying this on the next pair i pick up from the thriftstore!

I always have the same issues with my calves. This is such a good fix to that problem! Way to go. They look super cute.

Love them! I run into the same exact problem. Way to find a creative solution to a common problem. I say go with the ribbon it just looks so much more...sexy. Smiley

This is genius!  And so sexy!  My vote is for the rat-tail lacing!  Makes them look more...professional?

What a fantastic idea!!! I love them so much! I like the rat tail better but both look great! You could even do different colored ribbon Smiley

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

I can never fit boots over my calves either . . . great solution!  Both my 17 yo dd and I prefer the ribbon lacing!
