I made these awhile ago. The colors turned out SO vivid. I was dying to make rainbow cupcakes. They look so cool. It is so easy. I used boxed cake mix but make sure you use gel food coloring. I love the way the cupcake wrapper looks too. I used a little bit on water on my finger to spread the colors out when I layered them. My hubby helped out with the spooning and layering.

The ingredients

The colors

The spooning.

Toxic bright cupcake!

Wow, talk about vibrant colors!  I have made these and it was sooo much fun but my colors were just reg old food coloring.  They looked good, but these are great!

does the amount of food coloring you used affect the flavour? (like can you taste the food coloring?)  Also did you need rainbow cupcakes because of that super polyclay ranbow cake?

I started with a little bit and then turned into a mad scientist with it and kept adding more. The only color I didn't like was the yellow. I went for the canary yellow instead of the bright yellow. I took a toothpick and added a little, by the end I had a little spoon I was using. I couldn't taste the food coloring-I got the red dye that has no taste.

Poly rainbow cake? Whaaaa? I must see this.  Cheesy
