For Cubans, guava is the fruit!
We love guava!
Like we say "nos corre guayaba por la sangre" (guava runs through our veins) we love everything guava flavor: juice, shake, candy, cake, cookies, pastries, marmalade, paste, etc.

Guava Rolls

I made these rolls following the traditional cinnamon roll recipe but substituting the cinnamon for guava paste (melted) with a light guava glaze.

I need to work on in my rolling and assembly technique  Cheesy

Yum!

Does the guava paste affect the baking time compared to a cinnamon roll?

No, it does not affect the baking time at all. I used guava paste because we always have guava paste at home, but I think guava marmalade or jelly would work too.

Ooh those look good.  I wonder how it would taste if you used guava AND cinnamon?  Have you ever tried the flavors together?
