Gibbous inspired LACE dress/fairy costume (picture heavy!)

So, I was super inspired by all the gibbous stuff here, and wanted to try it out for myself!

One week and a lot of scraps later I came up with this dress. The photos i have are all from when I wore it to the renaissance festival as a fairy costume so they are terrrribad, but I'll try to get some nicer photo's on wednesday when I go back to my mums house!

Edit: New photos! They're on my (BRAND NEW IT JUST CAME THIS MORNING!! AND ALSO RED!!) dress form, because it takes me, quite literally, 20 minutes and my sister to get into this dress xD

Back (The straps turn into the lacing for the corseting, and there's a BIG LACE BOW to cover my bra!



Skirt and Bust Detail



The bust has tons of different fabrics sewn onto it, including lace and little flowers i cut out. It's also got hand beading on it =)

Lovesclutter - the wings are sooo easy to make! You just take coathangers (I used two white plastic covered wire ones, and bended them together. Then you just drape fabric over it and hotglue! Then wrap fabric around the center to cover the seam! I draped three different fabrics I think?

R.Forslund - I'm not sure to be honest. I've just always known about the one in colorado. I would try googling "ren fairs in *insert your state here*", and then go from there, googling states that might be close to you. They're pretty amazing, ours is only about 40 minutes away and so much fun =)

I put up new photos! Couldn't be bothered to wear it because it seriously takes me 20 minutes + my sister to get into it because of the lacing at the back, so it's on my dress form instead xD
