Okay, I feel dumb asking this but I've been wondering this for a while. What exactly is a poppet? I mean, I know it's a type of plushie but what characteristics make a poppet? Are they made differently than other plushies/dolls? I 'googled' poppet dolls and all I found is that they're some kind of voodoo doll or something.

Craftster member ghilie has the poppet pattern, if you PM her and request the pattern, she'll be happy to send it to you.

Here is one of her early posts with a poppet:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=189069.0

The doll is jointed, with a neck stump and they are just the cutest things!  Since her first creation, members have made them into mermaids, elves, you name it!  I have a gothic lolita girl with purple hair in my office, thanks to ghilie.

I hope that helps answer the question! Smiley

it's a general name for a doll, but here on craftster we refer to it as the doll pattern made by member ghilie.
