Shocked Amazing package! I'm so envious of jessiesmudge's skills!

After seeing your stuff, you have nothing to be envious about.  I'm posting pictures next, and i'll let the pics do the talking

Everything so far has been lovely, but I really wish people would take the pictures outside.  There is nothing like natural light!

I got the package from Heather (Nicegoing) on Friday, as I was frantically trying to finish the last project.  Worry not, I plan to mail everything tomorrow!

I toyed with the idea of not opening the box till my own package was safely en route, but that lasted about 1.2 seconds.  So I got the cutter and this is what I first saw:

Adorable!  I don't know if you coordinated the tissue paper with the postcard colors, but i love how they work together.  Great job packing!  Sadly, don't expect the same packaging quality from me... Wink

I unpacked the loot:

Where to start???

OK, here:

I was so awed when I saw these ornaments.  They are called Kusudama Balls, and Heather said that she had been wanting to make them for a long time.

I especially love the sensitivity that Heather showed when deciding what to make for me.  I can see how she spent some time looking at my Craftster posts, my Etsy shop, my Wists, to get an idea of what I liked.  These balls, for example, are a perfect example of using a medium I love (paper) and materials I love (upcycled).  She used an old map, pages from an old novel, and magazines.

I had some trouble choosing how to display them for the photo, and I ended up busting out the socks dryer-hanger thingie.  It did the job.  Love them love them love them.

On to package #2:

I am amazed at the professional way this cosmetic bag has been put together.  I took so many photos to show how perfect the corners are.  The way the zipper is set, with the tiny triangles on each end, is amazing.  I love the careful detail, and the contrast of the yellow lining.  How did you know I'm makeup-crazy?

This cosmetic bag was an extra, because Heather said she wasn't terribly happy with this other item:

I am also jewelry-crazy, and on my Wists I have several Anthropologie necklaces with frayed flowers.  I truly love this.  Anthropologie has nothing on you!  What's even better is that I don't have any necklaces with this color combination.  This will be perfect for those days when I feel like dressing in black, because it will introduce a pop of color.

Finally I opened the last package:

This purse is repurposed from an old pillowcase.  Once again, I'm amazed at the very professional way this purse is put together.  I love the geometric pattern of the fabric.

Kudos to Lapoli, for matching me with someone as fabulous as Heather, and of course many, many thanks to Heather for a swap that went beyond the call of duty.  THANK YOU!!!
