I just recently got Butterick pattern 5152 and I really want to make the short sleeved version in the same yellow printed fabric as its shown on the cover (or something similar) and as much as i've searched and can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know where (online probably) or from who I can find such a fabric??

Here's a picture of the pattern:

Hiya ... great pattern .. I did a search on etsy for vintage yellow fabric  and this is one that I found.

I would also suggest searching on etsy. Here's a store I found with lots of vintage fabric: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheTinThimble

There are also places that will print your own design on fabric, so if you can't find anything you like, and budget is not a big concern, you could try that route.

For a really budget-friendly option, I'd suggest checking the charity shops like Good Will or Salvation Army or yard sales for old sheets. You get lots of fabric and can sometimes find some funky patterns and wild colors.

I LOVE that pattern. It's marked as a dressing gown (something that elegant can't possibly be a housecoat) but I see it knee length, and as a dress.

Good luck with the fabric hunt. I'll keep my eyes open.

I found another site with mail order fabric. I think your dress would look good in this fabric.
