First I find me some solid sterling silver spoons with pretty designs, which is way harder than it sounds.

I know it kind of defeats the whole upcycling thing, but have you ever tried taking impressions of pretty flatware and then using them to mould replicas out of PMC?

PMC is one of the few metally things I don't really work with. I personally don't like it because it's insanely expensive and it can have bad porosity issues in the finished pieces (I have seen some wonderful work done with it, it's just not my thing).  I'm actually in the process of trying to get casting equipment set up in my studio though, so I've been making rubber molds of each spoon in case I want to cast them myself later on And of course, once I teach myself wax carving a little better, I'll be carving my own designs instead of relying on old flatware hehe.
