The lovely Tero has reminded me that it's been a while since the last Bead Soup Swap.  I had promised to do one after New Years, but clearly time, and other swapping obligations got in the way.  I'm happy to do another round of Bead Soup though, if people are interested.  Since the last round was US only, I'd be opening this one up to international swappers.

I'm thinking of the same parameters as the last round:

-You may choose to have either ONE or TWO partners.  (First time swappers would be limited to 1 partner.)

-Each swapper is required to send a minimum of 1 full cup of "average sized" (about 5-8mm) beads per partner. It will be left to partners to decide the fairness on swapping other sized beads, like tiny seed beads or giant over-sized ones.

-One small-to-medium sized beaded item as a gift for your partner(s), like a bracelet, a beaded bookmark, or 1-2 pairs of earrings

This would be a FAST swap with about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks of "crafting" time, since you would only be making 1 or 2 small items, and then packing a box or envelope.

I would reserve the right to refuse anyone with a history of incomplete packages, late sending, ill-communication, lack of DC #'s, etc., as well as anyone who did not thoroughly fill out their questionnaire, as to what they have to swap and what they want to receive.

I am very interested. I'm that kind of gal who could always use more beads. Not having a place for them isn't a good enough excuse to not join, right? I will be watching for this swap and checking in. Hope people get wind and we start this before the end of summer. I have so many ideas. Wink

Links have been added to the first post.

That depends on how many people react to the interest thread, and how fast.  If there's a lot of interest quickly, then I'll put up the sign-up thread sooner.  If interest is a little slower, I'll wait a few extra days to put up the official thread so that more people can see the interest thread and head over there.  All in all I would guess I will start the sign-up thread anytime during this week, up to possibly Saturday.  I would say 2 weeks of sign-ups, and 2 weeks of "crafting".  So if the thread goes up on say Friday (July 7), then sign-ups would close July 30, and send-outs would be August 13th.  Really, this swap shouldn't take anyone more than a few days to complete, so I almost feel like 2 weeks crafting is too long, but I know people would freak if I gave it less time.

As there is the option to have two partners, I am considering capping the number of participants between 20-24.  If we fill up early, I'll close sign-ups early.

LOL...  You know, there is a "Help Me Diet" swap running right now...  Wonder if any of those swappers thought of this solution.
