I had an idea earlier this week to make up some fun Harry Potter inspired bracelets.  I wanted to create a simple bracelet for each house, kind of a beaded version of a friendship bracelet.  I found some really beautiful river shell beads that came in blue, yellow, red, and green, and fairly glowed in the light.  Sadly however, they were temporarily out of red.  Sad  So I whipped up bracelets for Ravenclaw, Slytherin, & Hufflepuff houses, with a Gryffindor bracelet still to come.  Then I decided that each one clearly needed a matching pair of earrings, so I added them to the list.

These are what I came up with.  I like that each one has it's own feel, and is distinct from the others, but still has those same river shell beads to tie them all together.

Ravenclaw

Gryffindor

Slytherin

Hufflepuff

Thanks for looking!

So cute! I love how they are cleverly themed without looking like they belong on a nine year old Sad I love themed jewelry but at the same time I am 37 and while age ain't nothing but a number..you know what I mean Smiley

Is this post inspired by the fact that there's been an all-day HP marathon on TV today? My roommate has been watching it for like six hours now Tongue I'll wait until it goes to commercial and then make her come look at these, lol.

I love them! I'm a big HP dork but I feel I'm to old to wear jewelery that completely broadcast it.

Me too.  I like to make things that are a bit more subtle most of the time.  Smiley

I really like the Ravenclaw set! The medaillions on the earrings and the little flower beads on the bracelet are good finds!

I like when a fandom-themed item (like these) look as if they're actually from the world of said fandom, and could be used/worn/made by people in that world. Smiley
