I have received lots of encouragement to start a blog about life on the farm, from both family and Craftster members who read this post.  My daughter set me up with one for my birthday last week, my blog may be found in my profile.

Wow!  Thanks so much!  I wasn't feeling the love of farming this morning when I went out in 15 degree weather to do the morning livestock feeding.  This totally makes my day!

I just wanted to share this film about sustainable farming with the gardeners on this board, but don't know where to post it besides in this thread!  Really beautiful film but a bit scary:  A Farm for the Future http://cdn.static.viddler.com/flash/publisher.swf?ref=www.permies.com&key=ce56603d

It's freaking brilliant, thank you!
I've been reading up on urban gardening in Detroit of all places. It's truly incredible, google it, you'll be so amazed.

I have to tell you that I really enjoyed this post! Your garden is quite the inspiration. You certainly have a stunning plot of land there and I think you have done well with it! If I had room for a green house I would have my hubby on that ASAP! Hey, now you have me SEARCHING for a spot to build one :O) Your sheep are super cute, by the way. You already sound like you know how lucky you are to have and be able to tend to such a lovely little farm. I love it!

Thanks so much Clarachk!  We had to pull a lamb this morning (a first for us), it's been a stressful day.  Your comments reminded me of all of the non-stressful days.  Thank you!   Smiley
