Hubby has been begging me to move from the suburbs of Chicago to southern Missouri and I think this just put a point in his favor. This is fantastic and I would love to have a garden like yours!  I by no means have a green thumb, but would love to learn!

Whoops! I hear him coming and have to post this before he sees it!

Then don't tell hubby that pond next to our garden is stocked with bass & catfish!   Wink

Thanks so much to everyone for nominating this post!  I just noticed it made the home page as a featured project.  I just got in from feeding the livestock and milking in a muggy 95 degrees (and Sophie kicked the milk pail over...).  Sad This made my day!

Your garden look like such an idyllic place to be Smiley
You might have answered this already and I just didn't catch it, but I was wondering if taking care of your garden and goats is your full-time job, or if you manage to work an office job on the side. I know I couldn't do both, that's for sure XD

Not asked yet, Abachii.  My husband and I had work at home jobs.  We've had the farm for the past few years and managed to schedule chores around our conference calls.  The garden was nothing to brag about as we never found the time for proper maintenance.  We both recently took early retirement, so now have lots of time for it.  It's been a steep learning curve, we're always talking about what we'll do better next year.  Despite our best efforts, I've got just one pumpkin.  We had two apples in our little orchard, but one fell on the ground and a deer got the other one.  I made a pomander from the ground apple. Absolutely beautiful!  I can't wait until my hubby is out of the Army and we can buy a house in the country and do exactly what you're doing!

Thanks for the pictures. You sure have a garden and I know it must keep you busy.  Your home and farm land is just beautiful.  A lot of us can just dream about.  You and your husband works hard to keep it all up, and you both should be so proud of yourselves.  Such cute pictures!
