Sorry I've been away for so long. My wonderful hubby had back surgery and then we went through a round of colds, sniffles and just pain yuckiness. He's doing well and no more drippy noses.  Grin

I just finished my newest sculpture, Merkitty. I designed it from one of my aceos that I painted a few years ago. This one was a real challenge for me and I must admit I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I love, love, love working with paperclay. It lets me sculpt more complicated pieces then when I was sculpting in wax and making my own molds. I also like creating one of a kinds because recreating the same piece over and over makes my brain freeze ... lol

Sculpture is 9 3/4" tall and 6" wide.

This is awesome!! The calico looks great, even gives it the appearance of a koi fish. It looks like it's floating. Is that "seaweed" covered wire holding it up?

Yes, the seaweed directly behind the kitty has a strong wire that runs from inside the wood base, up through the bottom half of the seaweed and up into the kitty. I'll post a few more pictures of it in a bit and try to show you the back.
