Hello!
I'd like to sew a shirt but I cant figure out how to make the top of it.

The top part, colored green, should be two straps which start in the middle on front (left picture), and covering each other on the back (right picture)

It's supposed to be gathered but that is something I can work out.
How does the pattern should look like? Is it a simple rectangle or parallelogram or anything else?

Thank you!!

I think the straps are probably a rectangle that is gathered to make it the shape in the second picture.  as wide as you want them to sit across the shoulders then the length needs to be as long as you want it to go from the front to the back. Add in your seam allowance. Then gather the fabric so it is the same length as the front and back of your fabric. (Leaving a small amount on the side seams for your arm holes.)
I'd recomend a stretchy fabric like a knit otherwise you'll have some issues getting in and out of it and will need a zipper.
hope that helps!
