I made a little skirt. It may be difficult to see the waist band, but it's four inches wide.



All that pleating. Phew.

Wow, that skirt is adorable! I'm too scared. How long did it take!?
Is the waistband jersey fabric or an actual elastic band?
I just got the idea of a black skirt with a BRIGHT YELLOW band...I think that would look awesome.

@LoveNTheOcean: It took me about 3-4 hours every day for 4 days. It was kind of trial and error as I made up some notes for the design and went to town. The waist is actually just a very stiff cotton fabric. There is a zipper up the back that I forgot to take a picture of.
