What do you do when you have a cat that uses your carpets as a scratching post instead of the ones you buy him, and you absolutely flat refuse to buy a cat tower from a store that costs a minimum of a RIDONKULOUS 100 bucks!

Why, you beg and beg your wonderful Dad to make you one! This is after making the argument that if he can make stuff (awesome rocking horses tables/chairs/etc) for his grandchildren (my bro's kids), then why can't he build something for who he calls his "Grand-cat", Murphy? I even provided the rug, which he previously used as a scratching board in my apartment.

So on father's day...I went home to surprise my dad and he surprised me instead!

You can kinda see on the sides where he's already scratched it up

The happy new owner!

It will have cushions in it eventually for him and my roommates cat to lay on, but for now its too hot and they like laying just on the plywood. And they finally stopped scratching our other rugs!
