I'm trying this! Yours are very cute, mine still come out grandma-y. Hurray for cheap remnants to practice on!

I don't know how feasible this would be, but I am pretty sure they have those bumpy silicone pot holders at dollar stores.  That might make a pretty decent non-slip sole.

Very cool!

I am in the midst of this same project!
My daughter wants black leather ones for inside the house for the winter.
She needs arch supports, has anyone attempted this?
I'm looking at an old pair, and the arch support seems to be under the sole, almost as if it were a small heel...

thanks....

I LOVE YOU!!! you're my new best friend! I love ballet flats, and seriously, at every Payless in Arizona there are nose marks on the windows from me staring wide-eyed at all the funky ballet flats. I LOVE them!!! I tried these, and it works so well! I added a loop at the back of the heel and threaded ribbon through it and wrapped it around my ankles, and my little sister asked me to make a pair for her ballet recital! I feel so blessed! Thank you so much! I hope you don't mind if I bookmark it, I loove the tute and it's really clear to me. I will try to post a pic of the ones I added ribbon to ,they look awesome and it's all thanks to you!!! Yay!!

Thank you!!!
