I love crochet patterns & crochet hats!

Hi Craftsters!  I'm always making random flower patterns to sew on my hats and figured I should share some of them.  I've gotten in a more floral mode recently and I think it has something to do with this beautiful summer weather we've been having here in Pennsylvania!  Either that or because we just redid our front landscaping... hmmm... ha.

Anyways, there are two different crochet flower patterns for you to choose from.  One's a 5-petal puff stitch that's a little different than a traditional 5-petal flower, with a "puff stitch" center, but the same traditional construction with 5-petals.

The other flower is a rosette that's crocheted horizontally then rolled and sewn at the end.  The rosette only has a slight scalloped edge because of the hdc, but I think it's wonderfully subtle and just beautiful.

If you're like me and in a summery mood, the free crochet flower patterns can be found here in this tutorial.

Enjoy - I'd love to see a picture if you make either of the flowers!

Sew your new flowers onto anything - a bag, a sweater, a hat, a wallet - anything!  As an example, here's a headband I made by sewing three rosettes onto a sc base for some inspiration... Smiley

Happy Crocheting!
