Last November my favorite musician, Emilie Autumn, was having a show. Being a hardcore fan (aka muffin), I wanted to make a punktorian outfit to wear. A little ambitious for my first sewing project, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

I used the Truly Victorian 110 pattern for the corset. It's a great pattern and I highly recommend it. The corset is made with satin coutil, cotton twill lining, stainless steel busk, and 24 spiral steel bones. The bustle skirt is made out of purple taffeta.

Ignore the bad lacing job. It's hard to lace it properly without someone helping you.

Thanks for looking!

That is adorable!  I love the purple!  That is quite ambitious as your first project.  I think you did quite well!  I'm still afraid to try a corset.

Will sew for stamps!  Or swap stamps for fabric!  Send me a message for a personal swap!

That's really cute! It's especially impressive for a first sewing project. Also, Emilie Autumn rocks  Grin
