My son just loves to help me wash clothes. He's 5 now hopefully he feels the same way in a few years to do his own laundry. So I decided to make him his own washing machine out of two moving boxes from Home Depot, a roll of duct tape, kraft paper and a bit of electrical tape to highlight. Here are the pics. I didn't take pictures after I cut out some openings on the sides for him to carry it from room to room.

Before the cover up

After the cover up

I'm brainstorming what to do with the boxes I still have leftover from my move.

That is such a great idea! Maybe if my parents would have reused our cardboard boxes to make cute home appliances I would have started doing my own laundry before I turned 21  Tongue

I love it! I made cardboard fridge and stove for my daughters. They had opening doors and everything. The fridge even had a separate fridge section and freezer section. And I made a cardboard garage for some Little People school buses we had. I wish I had pics of those... I am sure you son will get tons of use out of it, and since the only cost was the time to create it the investment will pay off in enjoyment:)
