My first embroidery in earnest... it's a little patch of magical shroomies... it took me a few hours last night. I used split stitch, back stitch, satin stitch and threw in a few french knots. I would like to get more info on doing fill/shading. I know I didn't do it exactly right here but it still looks pretty good for a first try if ya ask me!

I didn't use a pattern I just sketched it out with a pencil on muslin and went to town.

Adorable! I love images like this, they make me want to learn proper embroidery even more Smiley And the colors you used to complement the mushrooms are perfect!
