I plan on checking out all of the ones that I can from this craftalong next month (in just about one month, actually!). So, if your code is listed on the first page of the thread, I'll try to get a peek at it!

We got down to Austin  Grin

it was suppose to open at noon - but they had a mishap with the journals in the truck down and had to resort

they opened at 2pm - we were there just before 2pm - a mass crowd was there - the journals were in a small room - there was two computers to sign up for cards

lucky I had a card so we got to check out journals

one at a time because I didn't think to copy down themes - just had the numbers. If you have the theme (has to be in the same theme) they will let you take two at a time.

it was soooooooo packed in there - wall to wall people - so I got to see maybe a 3rd of the journals I wanted to see and it was hot because of all the people in that room.

everyone working the show was very nice and helpful but there was at least 3 times more people in that room trying to look at journals than there should have been. And the line was packed out the lobby and down the block.

we went thru the museum and the museum store after seeing the journals and the room was still packed solid and the line was still down the block.

Wow, it sounds hectic.

How did you get a card? Is that something they sent us with the journal? (I remember getting something with a number on it.) Any tips for a successful viewing strategy?

Yes it's that card with a barcode on it - you got it with your journal

TAKE it <g>  otherwise you have to wait in a line to get one.

write down the numbers you want to see and themes - I didn't even think about themes - you can check out two from the same theme at one time.

get there before the time of viewing so you can be up front and not caught in a long line.  Smiley
