I love your pages, am, with your weird little stories! They look great.

I didn't put it in my sketchbook, but maybe I'll put that calvin and hobbes quote in my altered journal. It really sums it up!
I just taped up my envelope and will be mailing before work today!
I'm happy we got the extra two days to work (3 for me, really, because I was thinking Friday was the 15th for some reason and was planning to mail then) because I did a lot of awesome work yesterday. Since I was sort of "in a hurry" I didn't agonize so much over what to put in my book and I just filled it up and ended up loving some of the things I did.
I scanned all my pages and will try to post some here soon, since I don't think I've posted a single picture in this thread.

alteredmommy, your pages are awesome! I love how you collaged the women and then altered them. I also really like your backgrounds!

I think it just hit me that I mailed off my journal and will only see it one more time in person. I made color copies of it, but they came out kind of dark, so now I'm wishing that I had made the time to scan it (or have it scanned before I sent). I paid for the digitizing, but I don't know how long that will be, or if we'll be able to print them out.

Sigh... I didn't even work on it for very many days, but I already miss my journal...

I started the project by pulling my book apart, then sticking bits together to make 5 larger spreads.  But I couldn't think of something to do for one of them, and then started running out of time, so I did 4 instead.  Then I folded it up and rebound it and filled in the blanks in between.

Big spreads:

Butterflies

End of the Line

Ashes

One Life

My gosh such beautiful work you all have done... congratulations!

Life has quite got away from me and that is what I did my book on... It's in the mailbox, and I have to admit that it is very true to my life, my project timeline/style and my theme "If you lived here..." After weeks of planning and storyboarding, months of procrastinating and experiencing life, in one week I doodled, scrap-booked and sketched a bit, with a running dialogue all the way thru... and some blank pages and an invitation for readers to add something of their own.  My DH says "it really is you" so I am happy.

And there goes the Mail Lady, so there's no more touching it. *sigh* so glad it's done!  I'll try to get some pics up soon.

I am finished! Whoo hoo.

Racky - My number is 29543, but anyone will recognize the loud orange lottery ticket cover.

I'm off to the P.O. at 4:30. I copied at Kinko's during lunch and it only cost $12 - so I think I completed 11 sets of pages? Something like that.

And everyone else - I think your work is magnificent. I'm happy to be a part of the group. Next year, we'll all be better organized!

Sooooo, I got to the post office, book in hand, roughly 20 minutes before they closed and got that sucker on the way! Thank heavens they gave us an extra couple days, I totally used them and needed them too. My book would not have had anything on the covers had they not,  Roll Eyes

I have a couple shots up and as photobucket refused to work with me tonight I went ahead and posted them to my Flickr, in case anyone wants to see what I came up with.

Racky, I believe my number is 25011.

Will come back tomorrow after my cold pills have worn off and wander about looking at fantastic artwork!

FishStikks, I love your drawing style! I'd hang some of those pages on my walls!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the books in person!
