Racky, I agree, Cruella's color scheme goes well with that fortune cookie page! I also think it's totally appropriate to scavenge art, given your theme Smiley

I've been slacking on my book because I just haven't been able to do much sitting and crafting lately... My back has been totally awful lately. GOOD NEWS though!  I saw the surgeon yesterday and have my back surgery scheduled for a month from today.

Soooo I'm wondering if I aughta work work work on my sketchbook BEFORE the surgery, or wait until afterwards... I have no idea which pain will be worse. The pain right now, or recovery pain!!

Nooo - so sorry your back is hurting! I hope the surgery goes smoothly and you have a very rapid recovery. My DH had back surgery a number of years ago and, if my memory serves me, his recovery was fairly rapid although he had to be careful of how he moved for awhile.

Great pages, Racky!

I've started putting together ideas (in my head, of course Smiley ) again. I'll get back to work on it soon.

It's been awhile since I've been here, but I have to say, I'm not as behind as I thought I was. Some of you are slackers like me! I've done three pages or so in my book, but if I stop and scan them I'll get distracted so I'm going to go work on them some more instead.
Someone please reassure me that it will be possible to fill the entire book over Christmas break.

Ok it is definitely possible... I just counted the pages, and that came to 38 double page spreads.  That'd be 2 pages a day for 19 days.  OR if I buy spray glue and stick 2 pages together, that makes only 20 spreads which is more that possible to slam out in a handful of intense overnighters... with a day to finish off the cover.

Mine has been stashed away for a while. I've dragged it out and blown the dust off it, so that's a start Cheesy

Heh, mine was also covered in dust, but from all the packing. I already had only just enough time to finish my Sketchbook as planned, but life had other ideas!  We bought a new house, moved and are in the process of preparing the old house for sale. I just opened the box with the Sketchbook items. I am not optimistic about the little at-home time I'll have now to finish it.  We'll see.  If I don't make the deadline, at least I'll finish it eventually, for myself.

Good luck, fellow slackers! I do enjoy all the progress pages that have been posted so far.

So guess what?  All this time I've been ahead of the game, my book was pretty much finished and all I had to do was rebind it and send it off...

But then last night I pulled it all out and looked at it and realized I hated 75% of what I'd done.

So now I'm starting over again...reusing the same cover (or the back of it at least) and maybe 7 pages of the original book.  Glad we still have so much time left because I probably would have ended up trashing the whole thing and not sending anything back!

Oh wow!  I just stumbled across this thread....totally not reading all 102 pages to catch up...sorry!

I'm doing this and Adhere to Me is my theme.  I've had my book for weeks and haven't done anything but hold it, flip through the pages and wonder what the mysterious sticker is that I got with mine.

Can I still 'participate' in this CAL?  ::pretty please?::
