But look at me, I drew something! It's been ages since I've done that.  Cheesy

And it is an excellent drawing!  I like it a lot.

And, it's entirely recognizable as a fortune cookie! Nicely done!

Haven't been on here in a loooooooooooooooooooooooong while, but i too signed up for this project, my theme being "figuring you out". I've been combining mediums: paper, fabric and thread, markers, paints and dyes, along with my own imagery and poetry.
Will post photos as soon as i figure out the new way!

I have a photo or two to post early this week. Sorry I didn't join in on the fun on Saturday but after a long and really stressful week you'll have to excuse me. I'm going to watch Doogie Howser.

I'll battle it out with the scanner soon. Until then, all of the pages I have been seeing are wonderful! Keep up the craft Cheesy

So, work consumed my day yesterday too  Roll Eyes but today I scanned my pages! Here they are:

Night falls...

and while you sleep...

into your head they do creep.

The third page isn't really two different shades, the scan is just a bit wonky. Cheesy

Danni, that's fabulous.  I love the first page, its really atmospheric.  Are you going to try to keep the rhyme through the book?

Spooky!  Are you using pencils only in your journal?  Are you truly copyrighting each page?  I have not seen that on original artwork...

Thanks, everyone! Cheesy

I'm not sure if I'll be rhyming throughout the book although I intend to try. I have several ideas for actual nightmare spreads but have to plan how best to string them together. If they don't rhyme I won't be terribly disappointed, poetry was never my strong point. Wink

I'm using a mixture of watercolors and pencils at the moment. The first page is watercolor and pencil, the second is just watercolor and the third is just pencil. I may move into some other forms of media as I work further into the book... definitely planning on some black and white pages and possibly some collage.

I typically don't put any sort of markings on my work, I just upload to flickr and go. But since I'm cross posting the pages to several places including facebook I opted to put something on them. Probably should just put my name and date tho. Things to do next time I scan I suppose. Smiley

I love the first pages...mixed media sounds like the way a lot of people are going...so glad you are jumping in and what a fun theme...scarey but so many ways to do it!

Can't wait to see more...
