Mine is storybook, I'm debating a couple different things right now, but I'm pretty sure its going to be a short story. I'm just not sure what that short story is yet! lol! I'm still working on gluing my pages, that way I know how many to work with.

Gluing the pages in the book together to make them thicker? Hmmm, maybe I could do that....
I'm way to nervous to pull the book apart since i've never bound anything before, but the paper is just too thin~!! So maybe gluing is the answer...

Ive taken mine apart, and painted a few pages, but the paper is so thin, I may give in and get new paper.

I've been working with a few different varieties of media in my non project moleskin to see how the pages hold up, but my actual sketchbook is sitting on my desk mocking me with its nakedness...  Roll Eyes

I think we all need to hold hands, close our eyes, and jump together.  Cheesy

I have to wait till next week to buy some paper, a little fabric and a sewing awl. I'm making paper this week for it though! I have a pile of inclusions for the paper like snippings of feather, glitter to embed, silk fibres, thread to stitch through the sheets, pastel and chalk to grind and sprinkle on the wet paper, very fine metallic thread to embed.. I'm excited Smiley

I'm trying to decide on the best way to incorporate handmade paper and fabric 'sheets' (like calico, linen, Aida, canvas etc) to work on within the book. I was looking at making up the signatures from a mix of papers and fabric, but the different thicknesses and textures might make it hard to stitch together. Ideas?

We should set a goal, like,
All of us who have our journals already, post a page by Saturday.

I don't think this should be much problem. If you have a Japanese punch (basically a sturdy needle on a stick), you should be able to punch your holes before you begin to stitch.

That's a great idea. Even if all you've done is rebind, or painted a few backgrounds, or made a list of possible ideas, post something! Let's inspire each other!

oh wow--this is a bit sad, but there are 25 of us and so far, only two pics? Cheesy
