If the Liquitex smears some inks, does anyone know if the Dorland's does as well? I am hoping to use multiple different methods in my book and would hate to use something that damages some of them. Any opinion on Krylon?

Dawnstrees - I've used clear krylon spray on an acrylic painted box! If you do a really light coat, it ends up feeling a little rough/powdery and not sticky at all. My experience with it tells me that it would probably do really well to keep pages from sticking together, as long as you don't spray it to the point of wetness, you know? Plus, it dries real quick and it's easy to find!

Prettyinpaisley - I really like your new page! The hand layer rocks.

I'm wanting to experiment with more layers...

Dorland's! Yes, that is what I meant.  Not Delorean. No flux capacitors involved....  lol

LOL! I really thought it was some specialized stainless steel wax Wink

Okay, I am stuck firmly in the way behind camp! I've been so busy with the start of school that I haven't even been on Craftster too often.

Oh yes,*raises hand* me too.  On the up side I'm acing my classes right now and working a lot too so my paycheck is nice. Cheesy  I'll have to buckle down and work on the next pages and the cover.  I just might end up smashing everything out in a month come Dec. 11th, the day after my last final. Or maybe after one day of rest! Tongue

I'll just keep adding to my storyboard (I have rough sketched 6 double page spreads and the cover so far) and see how it goes.

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments on my new page.

I like hearing about the different way people are approaching the project. My best pages happen when I grab my supplies, make a mess, and jump in without a thought. If I mess it up, it's "art" either way. - I tend to hit a wall if I think about any one page too long before starting.

But I'm envious of the people who have a vision in their head, and plan every single detail of their book before touching it with any art supplies.

prettyinpaisley - Oh my gosh I love your page. Just love it. I'd love to see the face on some people's faces when they flip to it. Especially men, sometimes they're just so uncomfortable with pads and that, it's hilarious.

You all are doing such lovely work! I so wish I had the skills you all have!

My book is sadly sitting on my desk still... looking at me quite annoyed at this point. It really needs some lovn' but not yet. I am so behind at work that this weekend I might get too take it apart and start adding gesso and maybe making some backgrounds too. The wax sounds intriguing as sticking is a problem I find that I have but I am so disappointed it is not Delorean Wax... that would be so perfect for my theme, no? well only if it went horribly wrong.

Ok off to dream of my pages that I am still not filling and feeling bad for being such a slacker! Oh well! Keep up the awesomeness all!

I've got some pages to share!

I think this one needs a little more, but I have overthought it way too much already. Is it too busy as it is? It was sitting as just the background for a couple weeks now. Today I said screw it! and added the dog. If you've got suggestions for this one, PLEASE throw them out here! Tongue I'd love the help! Smiley

For one of my favorite lolcats Cheesy

and the finished page for that dog sketch I posted a few weeks ago.
