Let's all make it a goal to get at least one page done and/or post an in progress shot sometime this weekend.

I agree!  Thanks so much for the goal setting!  With today being the first day of school in North Carolina things have been crazy.  But I have paper to use for rebinding, and idea for the cover and some ideas for the inside of the book AND ideas for the swap.  On top of all that, I have all Saturday morning and Sunday to hang out and work on my book!  I can't wait!

foufigirl - your pages are amazing!  I love them!  And your girls are awesome!  Can't wait to see more of your book!

foufigirl, I love what you're doing with "in flight!" I wish I had your skills! Since I don't, mine will be heading in another direction Wink

And, I don't know how much progress will be visible with me this weekend. I need to re-locate my journal! I had it in a specific location, but during the mad rush to empty 2 rooms for painting, it got moved, and I'm not sure where. Same with my Best Test glue! But, if I can find it tomorrow, I should be able to start gluing pages Friday night.

I'm in a bit of a tizzy: I start school on Monday, and today I was just told that I'm not supposed to be teaching one of the subjects that has been assigned to me, so I have to see if I can get that sorted out, among other disasters that have happened in the past week (tree limb from one of my trees crashed into my neighbor's new fence, large sum of $$ stolen from my bank account, a few smaller irritations...).

So, maybe working on the journal this weekend will help me to take my mind off of all of that!

I SO want to get in on this, but just can't do it right now.  Undecided

Does anybody know if they're doing the project again next year?

I imagine they will after the great response this year, which is also the second year they've done the project.

I finally started my book!!  Cheesy Cheesy

I decided not to rebind because then I might never finish. I was only drawing in pencil and it went right through! You can even see it when holding two pages together! Such thin paper  Undecided I'm going to have to think about what to do for my other pages where I plan on using more than a pencil.

Awesomesauce!!!

It's just one of those things. I always carry a sketchbook/journal/whatever around anyway, and this would just be so much FUN to get into, but with textbooks, CEUs to keep my professional license, the county license renewal fee, and emergency dental work all hitting at once, it will take months to recover enough financially to be able to take part.

I'm new to craftster and I'm so glad I stumbled into this thread! I ordered my sketchbook Tuesday! It looks like a lot of the themes that I saw in the first post are all filled up and gone from the site.  It was hard for me to decide between "Lights in the Distance" and "Trading Forever".. but I chose lights.  I'm pretty happy with it.  Can't wait to get my sketchbook!

That sounds like me last summer.  I hope all gets straighted out and you're able to join next year!  Cheesy
