Your book looks awesome!

The comment you made (in your other thread) about the quality of the books...I'm pretty sure that's the way all of this style of moleskins are. I've had a couple in the past and the paper has never seemed more sturdy than regular office printer/copier paper (like around 20lb.) I've been planning to pretty much just keep the cover and rebind in a bunch of water color paper, probably 140lb or something. I like a really sturdy base to start with.

Yay, mine has arrived! Grin

The paper is the same as an old one I have, so I'll definitely be able to work with it. Though I might take some out and add other papers in...we'll see.

Yours looks great, raerae!

I'm still (impatiently) waiting for mine to arrive- whyyy does shipping from the US to Canada take so long...! We're on the same continent already. Sigh....It's been 2 weeks! tap..tap..tap...

I can't wait to see what everybody does with their books! My theme, In Flight, is making me nervous but I'm thinking maybe of writing a story to run thru it.

I'll leave my book in tact when it gets here for two reasons.. 1) I don't mind moleskin paper for drawing and watercolor, which is probably what I'll be doing and 2) I've never bound a book and don't want to mess it all up! Cheesy

I'm a bit miffed that they now have a submarines category... had they had it when I signed up I would have picked that and a blue cover! Ah well.  Wink

I'm with you on being miffed...I don't like that they are adding new themes. I have buyers regret!

Me too.  With all those new theme choices I may never have been able to choose one, though.

Thanks amary and Phizzy Smiley If the paper is so cheap what is the big deal with Moleskine? I'd read somewhere that pamphlet style books are not very sturdy when you bind more than ten pages. Not something I know from experience but I don't want to take the chance.

I got mine too!!  I'm actually a little relieved by it.  It's a lot less intimidating than I thought it would be.  Maybe because it does seem a little cheap, definitely more so than the art journals I am used to.  Anyway, the only thing I know for sure is that I can't wait to get started.  I also just did a Youtube video about my WIP's this week and I show the sketchbook a little if anyone wants to check it out.  It's on my blog, which you can find in my profile here on Craftster...anyway, I was just popping in to say it's here, so I will hush up now!   Grin
