art house co-op is hosting a Sketchbook Project, and a few of us thought it would be fun to participate. According to them, "It's like a concert tour but with sketchbooks."

To participate, click this link, choose a theme, order your sketchbook, and get to work. The books will be touring all over the US next spring, visiting Brooklyn, Austin, San Francisco, Portland, Atlanta, and Chicago. What a fun project, and how cool would it be to go see it?

Let's work on our books together! Post here if you've joined, you're planning to join, or you're just interested in the process. Please consider putting the theme you choose in your signature line, so when you start posting pages, we'll all have your theme at hand.  Smiley

Here's How to Make a Profile Page on the Sketchbook Site
go to www.arthousecoop.com...in the far right hand corner, there is a "login" button...

use the name they sent you on the back of your cover

If you have not set up a password, you can do that first...if you already did, put it in...

When you log in, on the far left, in red letters, there is a bunch of stuff you can do, including setting up your profile, editing your profile, adding pics, adding friends, requesting friends, signing up for updates ...

From this login, you can then navigate to the 2011 project, comment on other people's work, post pics in the forum and not just your profile

Phizz, I've always suspected that you don't sleep...that's how you finish so much amazing stuff!

I'm in. I went with "It had to be..." A totally vague theme that I will probably regret.  Cheesy

I was tempted by that theme, it was one of my favourites. I just couldn't get beyond singing "It had to be you" to myself. I'd have driven myself crazy Cheesy

Cheesy! Yeah, I picked that on a bit of a whim because I journal a lot late at night. It seemed appropriate.

In an effort to drown the song out, I've been thinking of things like "It had to be monkeys" or "It had to be clowns" or "It had to be monkeys dressed as clowns riding goats in a rodeo"

I just realized that its "It must be..." not "It had to be..."
Am I the only one who read it wrong?

This sounds like F.U.N.!!!!!!  I've been wanting to start some kind of project to get back into a regular art practice as I somewhat lack in discipline lately....  I'm pondering a theme right now and scheming a trip to somewhere next year to see the books:)

Everyone will post their pages in here right?
