This is Kaliopy, a dragon washed in the colors of the rainbow.  You know that old wives tale about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?  Well, what you have not been told is, that Kaliopy is also at the end of that rainbow, guarding that pot of gold.  Wink  All of Kaliopy's fingers are pose able.  Her legs are jointed.  I hand sewed colored plastic rings down her tail.  Her eyes are carved beads, and I needle felted wool to her forehead and each side of her nose, which is needle sculpted.  She wears a painted bead necklace.  I hope you love her as much as I do.

Lovely dragon.  I envy your skills to be able to use so many different techniques in this piece.  I love the colours too.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments!  I made Kaliopy for a contest on deviant art.  The suggestion was to use lots and lots of color.  Kaliopy is actually made from a dress that was mixed in w/some free fabric that I got over the summer.  I got quite the head ache making her.  Those bright, bright colors starting to run together and do have quite a glare to them. Wink  I had to take frequent breaks, and I didn't finish her all at once.  When I found the colored plastic rings on clearance at Jo Anne's, I just knew I had to sew them onto her tail.  Her fingers were such a pain to sew, turn, put the "skeleton" in, and stuff.  I absolutely hate doing this for small, slender things.  All in all, Kaliopy was worth it though.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE dragons!
