***warning and apology to thos with older computers*** very picture heavy!
I received my package from LanaC and MedusaLisa today. OMG do I feel completely and totally spoiled!!!!!! I'm going to post pictures of everything together since they sent together and I sent to them together. Hope no one minds.
I barely controlled myself when the box came. What I really wanted to do was act like a 5 year old at Christmas and start ripping into everything but instead I dutifully went to get my camera.
Upon opening the box I found some absolutely beautiful fabric. I haven't decided what to make from it yet but it will definitely be something to go along with the medieval costuming I do.
Want to see what my daughter grabbed as as soon as she saw it?
Pagan books for hubby and me
For munchkin and hubby:
For mom (who is the one that taught me to crochet):
Extras- stickers, adorable erasers, glow sticks and glow wand
, silly string (which is already being used), water balloons an some awesome Halloween labels:
I started opening with the smallest and worked my way big
First up is an adorable voodoo doll wrist pin cushion. I can't even begin to say how useful this is going to be!
Next is a lovely necklace. The white-looking beads are actually marbled.
A belly dancer! I am a dancer myself and of course thought she was adorable. She is on a spring so she actually does some shimmying too
Knit fingerless gloves! I've been trying to get my mom to crochet a pair for me for about 2 months now and now I have some! They are in a purple variegated boa with a strand of worsted for weight. If one of your craft stores out there still sells the boa I'm going to have to get you to go shopping for me cause nowhere her sells it anymore.
Is it dorky of me that I love the fact that they came on hands with painted fingernails?
Now an awesome wooden lunch box style box. We're planning on moving to SoCal next year, which is where the inspiration for the pictures came from I think
I'm planning on using this as a sort of portable travel altar. I'll be putting money toward the trip and travel plans and wishes inside.
But wait! Looks like the money and wishes are going to have some company! (and lots of awesome sparklies)
And a beautiful tissue box cover. I am very much a moon/stars person and I love the pictures (not to mention the sparklies)!
And the other side:
A beautiful divination box inspired by something on my wist from the first gypsy swap.
It wasn't empty! Some Lakota divination cards that hubby is trying to steal, a planchette to go with the Ouija board on the top, a set of witches dice and instructions on how to use them and divinatory meanings for the symbols.
Another gorgeous chest, which was very heavy upon unwrapping.
Because it wasn't empty either!
Inside were bath salts and matching powders in Bewitching Bergamot, Captivating Chamomile and Vexing Vanilla (and Lavender).
I couldn't get a good picture of the labels. I tried about 15 times
I can't even begin to thank you both enough!!!!!!!! I absolutely adore everything!!!!!!!!!
