Shocked
Did you actually knit thread with pins?

I did try that but lost a few marbles rather quickly  Tongue In the end I crocheted with embroidery thread and then slid that onto the posts... MUCH easier.

Shocked
Did you actually knit thread with pins?

For Christmas one year, I did 4 or 5 different pieces of knitting on pins for my mother.  I used one strand of embroidery floss for most of that knitting, but sewing thread works just as well.  I did about 1 inch square for each piece.  Took the better part of 3 weeks to put those together.

You've inspired so many people with your lovely, creative house.  I'm one of them Smiley Mine is just begun, and I hope to work on it (off and on) for a very long time.  So far, I've floored the kitchen and bath with hand cut stained glass tiles, and the bedroom has a floor cloth of black canvas that I painted with acrylics.  There's also a living room and of course, and art room in the attic.  The "tin" roof is corrugated cardboard that I ripped apart and painted silver. Thanks for a lovely inspiration.

I bought the house kit at Michael's.  Putting it together was the tedious part; only 18 bazillion unmarked pieces, and the instructions said "Look at the picture". There's going to be a yard, eventually.

Yay! Putting it together is the most taxing part (I just put together the same one you have and it took 90+ minutes to put the thing together) but now you're clear and easy for the best part. I hope you enjoy decorating it as much as I did Smiley

Knickertwist & Iluvsparklies, I too bought that house as well. I can only imagine the headache/labor pains starting out, oh but the joys of that baby when its complete!!! I can't wait to move, get settled into my new craft room so I can finish the decor on the 1st house and get started on the new one.

Iluvsparklies you did a great job, love the floors.

Thanks folks. It was a load of fun to decorate the wee place and put all the bits and pieces in. There's quite a few things that didn't make it into this house so I'll definately be making another one.

Ooo Ooo can I have it? lol once again I'm in  awe of your work. can I have your little finger? I know there's more skill in there then my entire body lol.  Tongue
