I finally figured out how to post pictures, woo hoo!

My sister gave me Doodle-Stitching by Aimee Ray a couple years ago for Christmas.  It was a great present! I have used several of these wonderful patterns.  Last summer I made these fun pillowcases.  They took me probably 10 hours.  They are mostly stem stitch  with some satin, lazy daisy, french knots, blanket, and herringbone.  This was my first project using many of these stitches.

Looking back at these, I guess I should go back and design one for summer and winter so I'd have all four seasons.

Oh so sweet!  I love that book but haven't done anything from it yet.

I have it too and I am totally planning to do something from it soon. We are about to leave on vacation...maybe I should make a plan now for something to take!

Oh, and I love yours!

Thank you so much!

This book is great for vacation projects.  I can never start anything on vacation that I haven't pre-planned out.  But last year I took this book to the beach with a bunch of handkerchiefs.  I'd just trace a small doodle motif from the book onto a handkerchief corner with a pencil and start stitching.  I'll try to post those soon.  I haven't completed many of the actual projects in the book, but I love using many of the doodles for small projects without enlarging them.  And I think there is a new book coming out with more!
