I think xkcd is fantastic. The cuddle mattress one is one of my favourites, and my boyfriend and I jokingly make reference to it every now and then. I decided to embroider it for him as my first embroidery project. It's mostly back stitch, with a little of some made up stitch to make the arms thicker (I did back stitch but didn't pull it quite tight and wrapped the floss around it a couple times  before moving to the next one)
I'm pretty happy with it, only 2 flaws! (10 points if you know what they are, 100 if you know what one is without looking at the comic first)

I'm contemplating making a pillow or blanket with squares of xkcd as part of it, so any suggestions on how to make things look a little bit prettier would be fantastic!

For reference, here's the actual comic http://xkcd.com/335/

This is one of my favorites too!! lol  I love xkcd.  Right now my desktop picture is that hilarious electrical circuit diagram (I'm an electrical engineer).  I never thought to embroider the comics... hmmm... *adds to list*
