Reusable Bulk Food Bags

I finally found a use for all those plastic/vinyl bags that bedding comes in!

I whipped these up quickly yesterday before my trip to the grocery store.

Large for flours and such

Small for snacks

Medium for everything in between (or granola for me)

This is so clever! I've always wondered what I could do with those bags besides throwing them in the recycle bin! Thanks for sharing!

Is the bag all vinyl on the inside and clothe as a cover outside (except on the window)? Or is the window the only vinyl? They are very beautiful. How will you wash them?

I'm asking cause I want some!

That's fantastic!!!  Immediately I thought of road trips with my 3 year old son.  I don't like carting plastic containers everywhere, because they're still bulky after all the food inside is gone.  I may just have to whip me up some of these!

Just the window is vinyl.  Though, if the whole thing were lined in vinyl, that would help keep the food fresh.  As it is, I use these in the store instead of more plastic bags and transfer the food/flour to jars when I get home.  I made some snack bags without the window awhile ago and my daughter loves them!
I'm not sure yet how to wash them...I will probably just wash them by hand but I would think they would be okay in the washing machine on cold, just not in the dryer. 
The closures are velcro - it goes all the way across the top to help prevent spillage.
We don't have the facilities for recycling those types of bags so I have them in a closet (I can't seem to throw them away!)  I almost broke down and bought bags similar to these online (too expensive!) when I happened upon a little bag that I think my daughter's panties came in and I probably got more excited about the revelation than what would be considered normal...

love it! my only concern is whether that vinyl is food safe. I have tons of these bags lying around and would love to use them up like this.
