I love the shape of those 1950's dresses, and I thought that the print of the sheet would match the style well. I used brown bias binding so I wouldn't look like a lizard woman when wearing it, and added 2 yo-yo flowers to add interest to the bottom part.



The body was a bit too big, so I added elastic through the binding at the back to give the top some shape.

Fantastic! I would never have guessed that you used a sheet to make this fabulous dress.  The yoyo accent is perfect for the style!

i love your dress.  I am such a fan of that era and style . I would have had only sweet dreams sleeping in those retro looking sheets.  really nice job!

I found it at an op-shop (Australian for second hand shop)
By the amount of static that built up in my hair when I was trying it on, I think it is polycotton.
